Leila's love affair with photography began when her eldest child was just six months old. She was dissatisfied with the phone images she had been taking and wanted to create proper portraits of her child. This led her to dig out their old point-and-shoot Olympus camera and spend the next few years documenting and writing about her child's development and learning process. Over the years, Leila continued to upgrade her camera equipment and joined online communities of like-minded photographers, participating in projects and courses to refine her skills.
